There have been numerous situations this season when Arsenal players have put in wreckless and dangerous challenges.  Although Arsene never seen any of them either.

I'm sure I saw the after match interview yesterday and Wenger said that the tackle was late and a bit high and he agreed that he derserved to sent off.

As I said in my OP I never saw yesterdays, but I do remember the tackle on Terry from that thug Eboue (I think it was)  I have seen a good few challenges this season from Arsenal players that I found unsavoury, I  don't pay much attention to them after the game though if no action is taken.

And it must have been really bad for Whinger to have agreed with the sending off.

You could ask John Terry if he thinks there have been any dodgy Arsenal challanges this year! There's one for starters.

Dan, was Diaby the guy that gort the head injury the other week or was it a diff player?

Diaby did get his ankle broken and dislocated by a wreckless and imo intentional tackle from Sunderland player Dan Smith just as his career was starting to blossom, causing him to miss almost a whole year.

I believe Smith received either a yellow card or no card.

Diaby was not worse than Taylor, not even close but he deserved to be sent off.

really Ed?, If you didnt know that Eduardo had such a bad injury and just watched the tackles its much worse, he hits the leg that isnt passing the ball halfway up the shin. A really bad tackle for me.

Not disagreeing that it is a bad tackle, and lucky that the Bolton player wasn't badly injured. I will have to watch the Eduardo one again, but for my recollection there was more force behind the contact?

Diaby tackle worse.

A guy at work turns up and starts ranting about how it was worse than the one on Eduardo. I asked him just to admit that he hates Wenger and that he has been waiting for an Arsenal player to foul like this to prove a point and he agreed a lot of this is down to his dislike of Monsieur Wenger.

LOL!!! there's a difference between contact and going for someone. He was miles from the ball. There was more intent in that one to take the player than Taylor's.

AFAIK none of the gooners on here have suggested that there was any malicious intent in Taylor's tackle.

I would also deign to suggest that there was equally no malicious intent in Diaby's, just mistimed on a soaking wet surface.

I can't take that as miss timed, for that to be the case the ball would once have had to be where he put his foot. I have seen challanges a lot worse though.
