If you had one night in Ireland and the choices of where to stay were Ennis or Shannon - which would you choose ? Casino's in either place ? Shannon or Ennis ??? -- 2 pubs and a couple of hotels versus a load of pubs and hotels -- Ennis every time -- only watch your step after closing time its got a little rough over the last few years.......

Shannon is a dump. If you can't stay in Limerick then Ennis is your best bet.
