Title: Using a TV as a monitor
Post by: Swordpoker on April 01, 2008, 05:52:58 PM
I've been fancying a 32" monitor for a while - get some proper multi tabling done  8)

Is it feasible to use a new funky HD TV as a monitor?

It would be cheaper to buy and I know some of them have a pc input socket on them.

Any drawbacks with using a TV?

How many pixels does it have?  Probably a far worse resolution than most 19" monitors.

Thanks, I missed this. Looks like it's not worth it because of the resolution.

I got a 32" samsung plasma and it works perfectly well, I can 6 table with no overlap and 8 table with a bit of overlap. In reality I never really play more than 4 at a time but the tables are nice and big, no squinting required.

Definitely not for me then. If you have an overlap with 8 tables that defeats the purpose of me buying one.
