Title: post flop decision
Post by: amcgrath1uk on April 02, 2008, 10:39:43 PM
$5 mtt, blinds 800/1600 and on the button with  8c 8h. All folded to me so raise to 4800. ( I have 20k)

BB insta calls. ( has 25k)

flop is  4s 5s 8d

BB insta goes all in. He obv covers me.

I insta call.

before I post the results.. good or bad call?

Also looking back through the history, he's made the same move 3 times uncontested. Does that influence any decision?

Am i not allowed any fun???

He could quite easily have called preflop with 2 spades, or even 76.. would any of this run through your mind.

bearing in mind we both had decent sized stacks too

Question 1; No.

Part 2;  No and why would it?

Part 3; size doesn't matter..it's how you use it that counts. (I have been told this many a time)

Part 4; sigh...i'm off the strangle a kitten now as I need to be polite on the forum :)

if someone goes all in - you should always fold, besides what are you doing raising with 88 preflop in the first place? only AA so late in the tourney.....
greetings for snoops:)

Amc, really, if you are being serious, do you think anyone could fold here?

P.S.  I passed AA on an A22 flop last night, put him on pocket 2's...

good pass if playing at Gutshot where 75% of hands will see someone playing 22

Call instantly. He has 4-5 and hits running 4's.
