Title: Passive? thoughts? Post by: GlasgowBandit on April 04, 2008, 02:03:02 AM No read on player other than he's been at table for a full round and this is first action he has taken?
Trapping to get it in on a flop with no over card or should we be 3-betting pre? Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on April 04, 2008, 02:04:56 AM Reraise pre... if your gna play it weak then pass flop.
Title: Re: Passive? thoughts? Post by: Longy on April 04, 2008, 02:50:47 AM 3bet pre especially as you have no read on your oppo.
As played, I think post flop is fine. Title: Re: Passive? thoughts? Post by: MANTIS01 on April 04, 2008, 02:09:02 PM Why have you called pre-flop Glasgow? It is because you're trapping/want to see what the flop brings right? The flop is not the one you wanted to see after playing the hand this way so I don't know how you can continue c-calling bets now. The A has ruined your strat but you continue with it anyway.
Title: Re: Passive? thoughts? Post by: GlasgowBandit on April 04, 2008, 02:47:11 PM The hand wasn't mine it was one a mate played out, I think it was a mistake not 3 betting pre tbh. I think he's trap calling and hoping to get it in the middle on a board without any overs. I'm not for slow playing my QQ at any point its inviting trouble if the board comes A high.

Quote I think he's trap calling and hoping to get it in the middle on a board without any overs. This is what I'm talking about. If he goes to the flop with this strat then there is a need for discipline when things don't work out imo. C-calling after the A drops makes his original strat a rather pointless one.
