Title: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: TightEnd on April 04, 2008, 03:02:40 PM 3 hands
table is loose donkish calling station from two orbits observation since table opened 1. 4 limpers, playing full stacks Hero bb Jh 5d, playing £200 check, pot £10 flop Jd 5c 3d Hero bets £15 called in two spots, pot £55 Turn Aspades hero bets £50 last limper pushes for £150. Comments please (bet sizes, turn bet OOP, standard call of push?) 2. Hero 4c 4d in MP EP limper, hero limps, 4 to the flop flop 3c 5c 6d BB leads for £8, EP flat calls..BB's range is wide, young cocky bluffer. EP is tight, aware Over to hero.... Your standard play here is? 3. Norwegian makes it £6 to go in MP. Sitting with £400, always shown the goods, hands have held up and been paid off Hero in BB with Ac Js Your plan is? Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: Longy on April 04, 2008, 03:13:58 PM 1. Lead less about the pot I would but given you got 2 callers im not arguing with 15. I sigh and call the turn shove, I don't like it but we are getting over 2 to 1 and we has 2 pair against a weak oppo.
2.Pretty meh spot here, i personally would be tempted to raise and pick it up there. The advantages of this being we often pick up the pot due to our image and the fact the other 2 don't necessarily have alot of it. If called we no doubt will get a free turn card to improve or reasses and see a river. I think all 3 options are reasonable here but I like the raise to about 25-30 3. I fold don't like aj oop against a solid player. Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: AndrewT on April 04, 2008, 03:19:51 PM 1. Snap call, see villian turn over A5 or A3, hit diamond on river, scoop pot. :) Turn bet OK - you've got to expect one of them to like the Ace and come along with you.
2. I'm tempted to bump it up to £25 as it's easy to get into the trap of becoming a calling station yourself in these situations and then not winning the pot and finding yourself bleeding money. You might win it now, you might get one of them to fold. 3. Personally I never like playing AJ out of the blinds to a raise. AJs may be worth a look but I'm looking to hit a flush draw and win a big pot sometimes rather than try and win with top pair. AJo I let go. Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: maldini32 on April 04, 2008, 07:56:04 PM call 1st one,
call 2nd one reassess turn pass 3rd Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: boldie on April 04, 2008, 08:00:35 PM Hand 1 (having seen the standard at Dtd) call.
Hand 2..I probably raise as noone will pay you off if you hit anyways so you either get it in now or fold. Hand 3. he can have my BB..don't really care enouygh about AJ to get stacked here. Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: A_Leper on April 05, 2008, 11:10:06 AM Hi,
1) I call shove but am not especially confident we're ahead. He could easily have higher two pair now ace is out, but on the other hand he could easily just have Adxd, or some total crap. A comment on your flop bet: I don't like betting so much here. I think it in a limped pot it makes it pretty clear you have two pair. 2) I don't think raising here will get many folds. There are too many draws and people love draws. If you call and hit your straight I can't imagine you'll get much action unless someone is beating you. I mean, I probably call at the time because I'm a fish, but you should probably fold. 3) Meh, I'd probaly call, but I'm a fish Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: AlexMartin on April 05, 2008, 05:06:56 PM CR the flop in hand 1, id lead online but live cash players are terrible.
call hand 2 call Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: EvilPie on April 05, 2008, 06:04:01 PM 1 - Depends on how full your wallet is and whether you're in a rush to get home. If you've got plenty left to refill then call, otherwise wait for better opportunity............
......... unless it's getting late. 2 - I like to think I'd raise but realistically I'd probably wimp out and call. Nasty situation this as realistically you've only 6 outs because the clubs will scare you and minimise your return anyway. Be interesting to see how this one went. 3 - Assuming your reputation is similar to his then raise. He may seem solid but you said you've only seen two orbits. He might've just been card dead for the last 18 hands and now he's just seen his first pair of 8s or 9s. If he calls then see what the flop brings and reassess. Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: Smart Money on April 06, 2008, 06:14:17 AM Call all 3.
Hand 1: Good chance he's paired his ace of diamonds, so you're likely ahead. Hand 2: No-one's folding any type of hand here live, and you don't want to be re-raised. Just play it passively. PLUS there's a ton of hands you can represent if a good turn card gets checked around with your position, which you can't do if you raise the flop: (I'm often firing two streets of bluffs in these situations.) Hand 3: A $6 raise live is less than a min-raise online. Be prepared to lay down if you do hit an ace and get a lot of aggression, but I think there's definitely value in calling here. Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: geeforce1 on April 07, 2008, 08:47:06 AM 1) call and throw ur chips at his A3
2) call, ur read EP makes it hard to get fancy with a squeeze here. By flatting u keep the BB value in, hopefully he likes to rep ur made str on turn 3) i personally call here (if i knew the player and was sat at table myself i may RR), but both these plays are far more high variance and you have gotta be able to trust yourself to minimise losses if ur behind and play big draws very strong edit - oops, full ring, i call for sure. no need to 3bet Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: TightEnd on April 09, 2008, 01:36:33 PM 1 I called and ran into 2s 4s. Sorry for posting that one, its an auto call really
2. I raised the pot (to try and buy a free card on the turn if called, praying I wasn't pushed on). all passed 3 I called, missed the flop and passed to a c bet. Felt all wrong, calling maybe the worst option in hindsight Title: Re: £1-2 live cash DTD Post by: boldie on April 09, 2008, 01:46:21 PM 1 I called and ran into 2s 4s.
