Title: So how do you Post by: RED-DOG on April 05, 2008, 11:03:54 AM find cheap flights on the internet?
I know it sounds like a daft question, but I really don't know how to do it. You see, my problem is, it asks me to enter the date that I want to leave and return. Well I want to leave and return whenever it's cheapest, but it won't let me put that. ;technophobe; ;sark; Title: Re: So how do you Post by: gatso on April 05, 2008, 11:40:33 AM who are you looking to book with? if it's a budget airline then the general rule is the further in advance you book the cheaper the ticket so try travelling in 6 months if you're not bothered.
if you know roughly when you want to go, enter a date in the middle of your range. a lot of sites will give you flights/prices a couple of days either side. others have an option to select declaring that you're flexible on dates Title: Re: So how do you Post by: nirvana on April 05, 2008, 01:20:42 PM On somewhere like easyjet or ryanair, try a date more or less when you'd like to go - they normally provide a previous day option, which leads to another previous day option - this way you can run back and forth to establish the cheapest day 'around' the time you had in mind
On a major airline - be sure to avoid all kids school holiday times or times near a mjor event in the place your heading for Title: Re: So how do you Post by: portfolio on April 05, 2008, 01:22:41 PM find cheap flights on the internet? The more flexible you are the easier it is to find flights. I like to use flyscanners.com Title: Re: So how do you Post by: boldie on April 05, 2008, 03:21:53 PM This is MrsB territory..where are you flying to Mr Red? I certainly think the cheapest way that I have seen when looking this up is to fly to America and get an internal flight. Possibly New York. Flying to Canada is another possibility.
