Title: Dusk Till Dawn 321 Weekend - A Personal Thankyou Post by: Nightfly on April 08, 2008, 11:53:02 AM To reiterate the announcement made late on Sunday Night, I would just like to thank all players who contributed to a unique and enjoyable weekend of poker.
After a couple of years running the cardroom at Gala Notts I did not think that it would be possible to have such a large group of players enjoying the game as it should be and played in the true spirit of the game. In terms of my experience in the UK poker scene, those were my best days. Thank you all On a separate but related note, I omitted thanks for the dealers, supervisors and valets who worked so tirlessly over the weekend. so for any of you who lurk and read this forum Many many thanks for your hard work. Spot-on Rob, an amazing atmo there, & very little by way of squabbling, table-banging & hoohah - a wonderful weekend indeed. On a side note, you must have been gutted to miss the opening of DTD due to some health problems, from which, judging by how well you look, you are fully recovered from. To be there for 18 months or whatever, & then miss the Grand Opening, must have been heart-wrenching. I wish you many happy years at DTD. |
