Title: The Championship promotion race Post by: Rooky9 on April 15, 2008, 09:45:09 PM Cracking end to the season on in the championship. I've always looked out for Hull City's results, with Dad's family being from there, and they are in form at the moment.
Who do you think will end up in the PL next year? I'm on for: West Brom Hull Palace Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: booder on April 15, 2008, 09:55:06 PM did WBA win tonight?
Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: ChipRich on April 15, 2008, 10:00:22 PM did WBA win tonight? 1-0Stoke, WBA and Hull to go up. Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: TightEnd on April 15, 2008, 10:01:42 PM and straight back down
actually wba are a good footballing team, maybe they might have enough £££ to invest to have a crack at staying up wouldn't see stoke, hull etc staying up Meanwhile at the other end.....fk my life. Desperate. Desperate. Stoke are a very poor side imo,i honestly think the last game at their place is the best chance of 3 points that we've got. Though tbh we deserve to go down,i've never felt as despondent. At least the Cricket season stars tomorrow! Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Bazzaboy on April 15, 2008, 10:57:13 PM WBA are the only side anywhere near ready for a crack at the Premiership as they have some players with genuine quality, if they spend a few ££ then they will have a fighting chance. The two sides who join them will be cannon fodder Derby style.
Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: GlasgowBandit on April 15, 2008, 11:16:39 PM I think Mogga has done a really good job at WBA he has them playing some really nice football not dissimilar to how he had Hibs playing. Seems that 2 former Celtic centre backs have their teams playing good football and based on their playing careers I never saw that happening.
The other one for yous that don't know is John Hughes and I think the big fella may be at an English club next year he has Falkirk playing some great stuff and has an eye for a player. Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Royal Flush on April 16, 2008, 03:12:59 AM Its such a sick ending.
This weekend: Watford vs Palace, Wolves vs Ipswich, Stoke vs Bristol City. Its going to be so much clearer after Saturday. I'm on for: West Brom Hull Palace I hope you are right but its fairly likely that if Palace make the playoffs it would mean getting something away at Hull in another weeks time so probably blocking their auto qualification. ONE TIME EAGLES! Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: UpTheMariners on April 16, 2008, 04:31:05 AM as long as 'ull' dont go up i dont care!!!!

At least the Cricket season stars tomorrow! Stoke are not a poor side, although lately we have been due to missing our 2 best players for crucial matches and giving everyone a goal start, we have a good run in if we can beat bristol city this weekend. West brom should go up as they are the best team in the league by a distance really, i'm amazed they haven't wrapped it up yet. No way we will stay up if we go up but i fancy walking down the road to watch Man U v stoke rather than hull v stoke for a change. Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Josedinho on April 16, 2008, 09:58:43 AM More exciting at the bottom.

Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: TheChipPrince on April 16, 2008, 11:11:59 AM Hull's the biggest City in Europe never to have had a top flight team (i think?), as a neutral, hopefully they'll go up... 'Uddersfield lad Fraizer may stay on loan with them if they do up...
I Wolves get into the play-offs I fancy them, experience is key in play-offs Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Josedinho on April 16, 2008, 11:23:36 AM More exciting at the bottom. Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Rooky9 on April 16, 2008, 07:41:41 PM TIGERS!!
Imagine 5 years ago the prospect of Hull City being two divisions above Leeds! Sweet! Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Horneris on April 17, 2008, 01:36:38 AM Looking at the games remaining in more depth, im confident Stoke City will be the ones to go up.
Home v Bristol City Away v Colchester Home v Leicester 3 very winnable games, wheras the other teams all face difficult away ties. Get on at 10/11 with Bet 365 Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Bazzaboy on April 18, 2008, 11:12:36 PM Stoke favs now surely :D

Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: ACE2M on April 19, 2008, 09:08:09 PM Go on stoke, go on stoke, go on stoke, we could be up up next weekend. Best peformance we've put in and Hull fucking up is genius.
Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Royal Flush on April 19, 2008, 11:16:19 PM wow what a sick day for us
Another away win and Ipswich hold Wolves in the 90th minute! We have managed 22pts from the last 10 games, sick time to come into form, i am confident we can continue the run in Hull given they must be on tilt by now. You would be brave to bet against the Eagles should we make the playoffs. ONE TIME HOLD! Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: mondatoo on April 20, 2008, 01:17:33 AM If i were to fancy any1 for the playoffs it would be palace seen as warnocks dun it b4. Congrats to west brom who look 2 be coming back up.I do expect it to be the 3 up same 3 str8 back down unless they really go for it in the transfer market.

ONE TIME HOLD! please no. after we finally gave up on our season today at QPR and last week against Southampton it'll really hurt to see you go up. much as it pains me to type this though, with WBA looking like getting the automatic spot they deserve, I'd probably back you against the pack if you stay top 6 Title: Re: The Championship promotion race Post by: Royal Flush on April 26, 2008, 05:24:18 PM So sick, why can't we hold 1 time!!!!
Will be fun come Sunday week! |
