Title: Aggressive play with mediocre hand, played it wrong? Post by: Benny Brox on April 16, 2008, 06:18:38 PM $0.10/$0.25 NL Cash - 9 handed
Hero - $20.95 Villain - $18.70 - PT is 15/15/4 over just 38 hands and no notes on him. All fold to button who raises to $0.75 We are in BB and (virtually) look down at Ahrt Td so I re-pop to $2 and button calls Flop - Kh Th 3s - Pot = $4.10 I CB with $2.50 and again a flat call Turn - Ad - Pot = $9.10 I bet $8 and villain pushes all-in for $14.95 So it's $7 to call into a pot of $32 so getting favourable odds. I wasn't going to go far with the hand just one CB if I hit and then slow down if looked up but a nice looking turn card came down. Have I done anything wrong here, easy call on the end? Raise it more pre? OOP and with no player read should I have played it less aggressively? Your comments would be appreciated. Title: Re: Aggressive play with mediocre hand, played it wrong? Post by: Benny Brox on April 21, 2008, 06:01:22 PM Thanks Alex, I like to play aggressively against standard bets and raises but I'm calming down now at this level cos it's losing me money. I called the river and he turns over KK for trips.
