Holiday Inn. Think there's a special DTD rate, but they also have different special rates on the Holiday inn site. Title: Re: Which Hotel? Post by: stallyon on April 26, 2008, 10:22:09 PM i'm at gresham's which is costing £27 per night
Title: Re: Which Hotel? Post by: Laxie on April 26, 2008, 10:27:20 PM Holiday Inn for us. Can't remember what we paid, but took a few searches to find space there as the hotel is nearly booked up.
Title: Re: Which Hotel? Post by: Bongo on April 26, 2008, 10:32:42 PM i'm at gresham's which is costing £27 per night It gets great reviews... Quote i would rather bbq my own tongue than spend another evening at the gresham. Quote i have come away with at least one thing from the gresham though, an itch. Quote We had low expectations for this cheap city centre hotel but the Gresham is an experience of undescribable deprivation, it made you itch, I wish I'd been locked up for the night instead. :P Title: Re: Which Hotel? Post by: gatso on April 26, 2008, 11:02:12 PM Quote beans tasted of tuna ! Quote Although the location of this hotel is great (it's right next to the station) that was the only good thing going for it. The sheet's and sink were clean, but the rest of the room was not. The inside of the drawers were covered in dust and dead bugs. The carpet had a stain on it from where someone had obviously been sick and it had not been cleaned properly. The communal shower (we didn't have ensuite) was not functioning properly, there was only a spurt of water when you pressed the button, then it went off again. lol, think I'd rather pay the extra for the holiday inn Title: Re: Which Hotel? Post by: Dewi_cool on April 26, 2008, 11:16:44 PM holiday inn full?

Post by: gatso on April 27, 2008, 11:32:49 PM i think your having me on as i've only heard good reviews afraid not. and more Quote This I am sorry to stay was the worst place to call itself a hotel I have ever stayed in. I got stuck in Nottingham for a night and didn’t have a hotel booked about 50m down the road heading towards the bus station was a hotel called the Gresham. In my home city we have a hotel called the Gresham it is 5 stars. But this would not even deserve a star. It looked alright at first reception looked like a normal low end old hotel. It did look a bit dated. Everything was ok until I got to my room. It stank of cigarette smoke. The bed was terrible and the room was an utter kip. Ok the sheets were clean. The next mourning I got up and decide to go for breakfast. Got to the breakfast room. Was greeted by the most shabby woman I have ever laid eyes on homeless people are better dressed. Her shirt looked like it was never ironed. Her hair was wind swept and she has some kind of skin infection on her hand. My advices if you are walking past this place keep going. I wish I was exaggerating but I am not. Scruffy, stinks of smoke and dirty. from http://www.virtualtourist.com/hotels/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Nottinghamshire/Nottingham-307601/Hotels_and_Accommodations-Nottingham-BR-1.html vomit, tongue barbequing and tuna beans are from here http://travel.yahoo.com/p-reviews-16450759-prod-hotel-action-read-ratings_and_reviews-i;_ylt=Aop24EF8ueEiGRAI7hcCaDjiphQB#7 Title: Re: Which Hotel?
