Title: Re: 8-50 Hove Dogs Tonight on Sky Post by: Royal Flush on April 30, 2008, 12:43:58 PM mvls, anyone want a dog?
I thought as long as he leads 3 out of the bins we were as good as won, how he cant get past 1 i don't know! Had two nasty bumps didn't he? how many in the syndicate Flushy? how expensive is it as a hobby? 6 of us own 2 dogs, it's not too expensive unless you are backing heavy like a mug on your own dog, sigh Title: Re: 8-50 Hove Dogs Tonight on Sky Post by: booder on April 30, 2008, 12:48:32 PM thanks for not replying to pm Flushy, saved me a few quid.
Title: Re: 8-50 Hove Dogs Tonight on Sky Post by: Graham C on April 30, 2008, 01:05:11 PM Thinking of setting up a blonde syndicate Tighty?
I was thinking about getting a dog a bit back. I've always fancied owning a racehorse but they're a bit out of my bankroll so dogs seemed a logical place to start. I'm situated in a bit of greyhound territory here, we have a few breeders in the area who also train and have kennels. You just pop in and see the dog if you want to and stick it in for races as and when the trainer feels it's up for it. We deal with a guy from the Greyhound Breeders Association and someone else that runs them. Doesn't look that expensive to keep them in kennels and get trained but I suppose the cost of the dog can be a big thing. The local track (Reading) doesn't have the big names running, but it gets some good turnouts and plenty of action going on. One day I'll get one.
