Title: What an atmosphere Post by: Pyso on May 01, 2008, 11:24:56 AM I went to DTD last night to play the main event satellite (alas, I ran kings into aces) and the place was absolutley buzzing. The TV rig is up and in full flow, sponsorship banners everywhere and the tables have all been re-felted. It all has a top-notch tournament feel.
..and the cash games - WOW. They've dropped the £0.50/£1 games and introduced much higher limits which the Scandies are going crazy over. I observed one hand on a table populated solely by Norwegians. Pre-flop it all got messy, three players all-in for an estimated pot of £3000. One player mucked, the winning hand was A-K and the original raiser tabled K-2. Get down there if you can, mortgage your Granny if you need to. Oh and some of the imported Norwegian dealers, massage girls (yes) and girlfriends are very easy on the eye too. Happy Days. However, I am now sat at my desk at work with a big smile on my face having just watched the video from start to finish ;D ;D ;D That's set me up for the rest of the day. Brilliant ;D DTD last night was awesome. I've never known it so noisy there. Crazy Norwegians singing "let me entertain you" etc. at very high volumes. I'm surprised a few more weren't asked to leave tbh, there were a few announcments asking for a little decorum while the football was on but other than that they were very lenient.
