Zenit beat Bayern 4-0..they destroyed them...they also pulverised teams previously to that...And I think they'll beat Rangers...Advocaat and Ricksen v Rangers should be good though.

MrsB delighted with the win but hated the penalty shootout...atleast it showed Ferguson for the fud he is though...I don't know if she can stand watching the final as this nearly killed her.

Strictly speaking the most the coeff can be raised now is by 0.5 of a point. It has been raised by the run to the final though.

I can't say wp gg because it wasn't - bravely played I'll grant you - BUT every rangers fan has the right to enjoy it.

You play to your strengths. Rangers currently only have Cuellar (immense again as he has been all season) and Alexander who have produced consistently.

The defensive game is what gave them their opportunity, which they have taken.

Shite to watch, however well done and good luck for the final.

ok, this is a serious question, not an attempt to reopen that fave debate of ours.

if Rangers and Celtic were admitted to the EPL and the year before one/both went deep in Europe what'd happen to the coeff points they earned. would be a bit ridic if they did well enough to get an extra UEFA spot for SPL then left so a large number of smaller clubs got through. would also be ridic to apply them to EPL when no English club earned them.

I'm pretty sure the coeff points woulk stand for Scottish footy, the teams arent earning the ratings for themselves, its the leagues in their countries that benefit thru possible extra places and and further down the line less qualifying rounds.

Both Rangers and Celtics performances in the Champs league and Uefa cup this year will keep the points ticking upwards.

aaand, assuming that the year before they entered the EPL they both qualified for Europe through the league. would they be allowed to take those European spots? can a team playing in the English Leagues take a place designated to a Scottish League club? and if so which league would benefit in the coeff if they went deep?

I dont really know but my guess would be the places would go to the next placed teams in Scotland for the reasson that they would then be the highest place finishers in their league.

Interesting, but in the end Celtic's run to Seville was worth about £10-12m (but had asociated outgoings). The bottom club in the EPL gets approx £20m? TV money, irrrespective of other costs. The move would be +ev.

As of this season bottom club gets £30 million in 3 payments of £10m I believe.

tickets going for 7k for 2 (proper good ones)...wish I'd bought some a while ago now, would have been a tasty profit :( For people selling on tickets Rangers in the final is the best result possible and the Scottish supporters will fork over anything.

Seriously ..I wouldn't ask 7k for tickets that go for 100£ normal price...I'd feel ridiculous. But I considered buying tickets when PSV was still in in the hope that they would make the final ..they obviously didn't so what should I have done if I had bought tickets? Given away a ticket to a final that I am not interested in when someone offers 2k for that ticket ? Would you not have sold it in that situation?

I have a problem with professional touts (they are indeed scum)..but someone whose team is knocked out of the competition and who sticks an envelope on ebay that "as a bonus is filled with a ticket to the Uefa cup final" (that's the way to get around it on ebay apparently..you sell the envelope not the tickets) and gets 7k for it can not be called scum..it's the people that say "I'll pay 7k to go see that game" that are stupid.

Tickets for this game will be £500 each imo. Ebay is full of cranks that bid just to inflate the price so the seller doesnt sell. Pre-seville there were tickets 'going' for £25k. no one in their right mind would pay £7k and wont have to.

If I had tickets for this particular final I actually would have given them to a mate of mine as I know Rangers supporters and can't rip off my mates..unfortunately I don't :(

Bandit - Rangers have had I think 9 European away games this season and not had 1 arrest, we take up our full away allocation and then some.  As for Barca, a reporter on BBC Scotland made the good point that they were complaining about us peeing in the street however it may have been because they didnt have any public toilets!  I hear they set up tons of portaloo's when Celtic played there.
