Title: The "Lets sympathise wth Tighty" thread
Post by: Colchester Kev on May 04, 2008, 07:18:05 PM
Unlucky mate, but on the bright side, you may be able to add a ground or two to your checklist next season.

I suppose the most often used cliche on days such as this is  "The table doesnt lie"  i AM SURE YOU WILL BOUNCE BACK FIRST TIME OF ASKING.

Please rest assured I will not take the piss ....

well, not until next seasons fixture list gets done ;)

Genuinely. Utterly. Completely. Gutted.

Thoroughly deserved though, and a indictment of years of mismanagement and poor player recruitment.

Roll on Hartlepool

p.s I don't think we'll go straight back up

I think you will struggle to get straight back up, in recent history not man sides have bounced straight back included big(ish) teams like Wednesday and Forest.

I thought if we went down we would struggle to rebuld but it appears Norwich at least have less of knee jerk approach and we attempt to have some stability at the club, even if it is mediocre stability.

As a Man City fan, I've been there and had the t-shirt.

I do sympathise!

Sympathise!?!

I'd rather swap

League 2 (in part)

20 Dag & Red 46 6 7 10 27 32 7 3 13 22 38 -21 49
21 Notts County 46 8 5 10 19 23 2 13 8 18 30 -16 48
22 Chester 46 5 5 13 21 30 7 6 10 30 38 -17 47

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

23 Mansfield 46 6 3 14 30 39 5 6 12 18 29 -20 42
24 Wrexham 46 6 7 10 16 28 4 3 16 22 42 -32 40

I can certainly confirm its a s*** division to be in. Every team raises its game against the big boys so it won't be a stroll to get out of. Just pray Leeds get thru the play offs.

Im sure the bookies will have prices as soon as the playoffs are finished.

My mighty Gillingham got relegated as well.

He may have a lower profile than most but id say we have the biggest crock as a chairman

When you have more managers than points there's only one way you're going.

To be honest on yesterdays display it was fully deserved, just not a good side. Although your number 5 is a quality defender whoever he is.

When Stoke were down there everyone was talking about bouncing straight back but it just doesn't happen that easy, took a few years.

spot on. was a delight to watch you go down, not for any dislike of the club or fans but because Scally deserves everything he gets.

that said, his comments have been the source of much fun to us at the Valley over recent years, can't wait to see what he comes out with next. in fact I can't wait to read his comments in the local paper next week (I'm only about 5 miles from Priestfield at the moment)

Gareth McAuley. good championside defender. will sign for Ipswich in the Summer.

the likes of Kisnorbo, Hume, Oakley, Clemence, Stearman and Mattock will also leave and do fine at Championship level or in the case of Stearman and Mattock higher

I don't think we will go straight back up.

Manadric and his money might get cold feet, there will be a huge change of players again and other teams will raise it against us
