This is far and away my fav site http://topdocumentaryfilms.com It is really a kind of index, but a very good one. Many of the links are to Youtube or Google playlists, of good documentaries made by the BBC etc. Quite a low bs/supersimplified quotient. The science ones are mostly great, tons of cosmology/physics.
