omg yes

Shall we turn this into a TED thread, like the youtube thread, where we post the best of our finds?

edit - there may be no need. I would want to recommend all I've seen so far in the words about words category.

Maybe our whole world is just algorithms.

Otherwise...where is Math(s)? In your head? In the world?

Was a good programme on recently called 'The Code' - about how maths shapes everything.  Fascinating stuff for geeks.

I watched the "Octopus" one last night - so incred, hard to believe it's true. Unbelievable.

Nice find thanks Dan.

This is far and away my fav site http://topdocumentaryfilms.com

It is really a kind of index, but a very good one. Many of the links are to Youtube or Google playlists, of good documentaries made by the BBC etc. Quite a low bs/supersimplified quotient. The science ones are mostly great, tons of cosmology/physics. If you're into crime history, it's in with 'Society'.

Currently watching this http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/human-evolution-clash-of-the-cavemen/ , fab.
