Title: Easy or Tough Spot Against a Possible Nit?
Post by: Benny Brox on May 06, 2008, 12:57:29 AM
$0.10/$0.25 6-max online

Hero: $26.75
Villain: $51.05

Villain UTG+2 makes it $0.85 which has been the standard raise.

Hero on Button looks at  Ks Kd, Hero calls (in hindsight, a terrible mistake)

All else fold and flop is:

Th 7c Jh - Pot = $2.05

Villain pots it, Hero raises to $5. Villain re-raises to $20, essentially putting us all-in? Call or a tight fold?

Out of 30 hands at a 6-max table this is the first hand the villain has raised. VP is 17% but small sample. Our play has been standard, not overly aggressive or tight.

I think you are prob beat, this guy is making a very strong statement with his re-raise.

If I was that guy I would be raising 89, 10J, 1010 and JJ but could still look quite tight over only 30 hands. He wants to finish it on the flop because he is prob scared of the flush draw.
The only hands you are beating are just AJ and QQ.

I only call here against an idiot LAG.
