Title: Tropicana Las Vegas Post by: 77dave on May 06, 2008, 07:06:50 AM The Tropicana Hotel and Casino has filed for bankruptcy. Chapter 11 has been filed. With assets of $2.8b and debts of $3.3b the company has decided to file.
The hotel was planning a mulit billion dollar expension by 2011 no news on whether or not this will go ahead. The very next day they told me on the quiet they were closing. This year, to save the staff from tears, I am going to give my affections to a really special venue.
I went there once, was bitten by the bug but was a bit shy. I stayed a long way away but the venue still caught my eye. The card-room maanger didn't recognise me but it was a tough year so it didn't surprise me. Maybe leather and studs is where it's at? Anyway the venue should make the most of every day, but its a shame that hard times have got in the way. Maybe they don't give a damn, but I am sure unemployment beneift rates out there are going to pay
