Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: TightEnd on May 07, 2008, 04:05:53 PM We are there without a doubt. :D :dontask: Play Off football is extremely predictable and the best teams and form teams always win through. That's why bookmakers don't make markets on them, the reuslts are always known before the players take the field. Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Sunday8pm on May 07, 2008, 04:08:06 PM Any side with Victor Moses playing cannot possibly play in the Championship next season. It would just be unfair :D

Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Sunday8pm on May 07, 2008, 04:46:34 PM Please lump on, Palace are priced at 2/1 when they should be priced 1/2. Unbelieveable.
Bristol City first game, ok we can write that off. So Hull in the final. Palace will have 3/4 of the stadium filled and im sure as fuck that Warnock wont fuck it up. Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Matt50 on May 07, 2008, 05:07:04 PM These kind of threads really concern me!!
Obviously not been supporting Palace long and dont realise that we like to make things as difficult as possible along the way. Like Tighty implied, there is no such thing as a certainty in the play-offs. I would rather we were 5/1 outsiders than 2/1 favourites. Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Sunday8pm on May 07, 2008, 05:10:36 PM Don't be concerned fellow eagle, Enjoy :)

And if you don't go up there is a pretty good chance there still won't be a team in the championship with victor Moses in!! Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Royal Flush on May 08, 2008, 05:07:30 PM Didn't realise you were a Palace fan Ben.

Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Matt50 on May 14, 2008, 09:44:00 AM Absolutley gutted this morning - was one of the worst journeys back from a game i can remember, made all the worse by the fact that we had it in our hands with the penalty! Of all the players on the pitch that didnt deserve to miss the penalty it was Ben Watson IMO.
I wouldnt be so sure about Victor Moses going, unlike Bostock he has signed a contract and he is still a long way from the finished article. It is important that we keep hold of as many of the current squad as we can and add 1 or 2 more, and then next season who knows. The plus side is a trip to Nottingham Forest next season which means that as long as it is on a Saturday i can coincide it with my first trip to DTD - always take the positives out of a situation. Just praying now that Watford dont get through as laid them big time. Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Longy on May 14, 2008, 09:44:44 AM I think we top 2 next year Yep you and Sheff Utd would be my picks. Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Colchester Kev on May 20, 2008, 11:03:34 AM Tottenham will land Crystal Palace youngster John Bostock in a deal that could rise to £5m.
so is he any good Palace fans ? Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: Matt50 on May 21, 2008, 11:20:23 AM Tottenham will land Crystal Palace youngster John Bostock in a deal that could rise to £5m. so is he any good Palace fans ? The short answer - Yes he is quality. But..........................................time for a rant. This is all that is wrong with football nowadays. C Palace have had this kid at their academy since he was 7 years old. He and his dad have both been season ticket holders for many years. He was not allowed to sign a contract with the club until he was 16 years old. He made all the right noises about how he wanted to be a C palace player and captain the club in future years. But for some strange reason an agent was brought in to represent him. Nothing for 4 months and then we hear that he is on his way to Spurs. The initial fee is likely to be about £500,000 with future payments for appearances, Spurs trophy wins (not much coming our way there then ;)) international appearances and a future sell on percentage. The FA bang on about how clubs need to bring through the youth players, but there is no protection against the money bags Premiership teams coming in and nicking the best players on the cheap. I dont blame Spurs for this, because if it wasnt them it would be another club. I do blame the FA for allowing it to happen, and i do blame John Bostock and his father for moving purely for financial reasons. if the family had any sense of loyalty then he would have signed a contract with C Palace before leaving for a substantial transfer fee. He is rated higher than Walcott was, so it is likely he would have gone for around £8 - £10 million. As a club, Palace will move on, bring through more youngsters for the big boys to steal on the cheap and remain as they are, a skint yo yo club. Football is on a fast downward spiral at the moment and something needs to be done fairly quickly before the divide between the top clubs and the rest becomes so great it makes dreams non-existent. Rant over. Kev, Bostock has a very good chance of playing for England one day. The only thing i see holding him back is if he spends the next 2 or 3 seasons stuck in the Spurs youth and reserve teams and no first team football. Remember Wayne Routledge. 3 years ago he left us for Spurs due to money. he had been a regular for 3 seasons in our team and now look what has happened to him - joined A Villa and cant get a game there either. If the same happens to Bostock it will be a crying shame for English football. Title: Re: Congratulations Crystal Palace Post by: TheChipPrince on May 21, 2008, 01:52:14 PM He is rated higher than Walcott was, so it is likely he would have gone for around £8 - £10 million.
