Title: Re: Wireless cards for laptop abroad Post by: kinboshi on May 08, 2008, 08:18:05 PM Surely if you're in Italy it'd be far, far cheaper to have some sort of mobile connection from Italy - rather than the UK?
I've never used wireless abroad, but I'd expect it to be ludicrously expensive if you use a UK-based provider. Might be completely wrong, wouldn't be the first time... However, they cost a fortune to use abroad so are not really an option overseas TBH

Title: Re: Wireless cards for laptop abroad Post by: Hawkeye1976 on May 08, 2008, 11:09:05 PM I have a Vodaphone broadband 3g modem that works everywhere in the world. (as long as you have a mobile signal)
But the cost to use it anywhere in the world is £115 a month, but the usage is unlimited. (spent 16 weeks in Italy in the 6 months) Lucky my company pays this for me. Steve.
