Title: the tilly jj hand Post by: Solver on May 18, 2008, 01:56:23 AM Ok I know I'm behind the times, I've not been around the poker scene. Just watching some stuff on the pokertube and came across the Jennifer Tilly JJ full house hand.
OMG, not sure what was making me laugh more, Phil Ivey's face or her pounding chest. It's two minutes in (http://www.pokertube.com/Movies.aspx?movie=422&page=4&title=Poker_After_Dark_S01E44_2_4). Must be honest i didn't check the dates :D I should hope shes improved now but either way I'd still love to sit opposite her when she has a big hand. Title: Re: the tilly jj hand Post by: JungleCat03 on May 20, 2008, 06:18:00 AM It is a funny hand and Ivey's look also cracks me up every time, but to be fair to her(other than this hand), she acquit herself pretty well in this show, in the company of some of the best players in the world, ivey antonius etc.
I think most players could think of hands they have played abysmally badly. Hers just gets lots of airtime! The one time I got to see her play over an extended period live, she bossed her table very well for quite a while and looked a big threat to take down the comp until she ran into Antonio Esfandiari who admittedly ripped her to shreds. I think she's better than most people think. 500k tourney winnings and a bracelet are a testament to this.
