Title: Hand advice please Post by: M3boy on November 05, 2005, 08:41:02 PM Playing the £750 in SHeffield last night, and down to around 30 odd.
Blinds 600 1200. I am SB and have 14600 back Folded round to me and I have 10 10. The big blind is very aggressive (specially with rag ace) I limp, hoping for a raise. Sure enough, he makes it another 4000 to go. Now I think my only choice is either fold or all in. What would you do? Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: Dewi_cool on November 05, 2005, 08:42:43 PM how many chips has the raiser got?
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: M3boy on November 05, 2005, 08:43:11 PM how many chips has the raiser got? He has around 24k Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: Nem on November 05, 2005, 08:44:10 PM What were the average chip stacks?
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: ifm on November 05, 2005, 08:44:22 PM decide if i want to gamble or not.
What's the average? if i'm below average then i gamble (allin), if not :dontask: Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: ifm on November 05, 2005, 08:45:22 PM actually, no i'd stop n go if the flop has no ace
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: Dewi_cool on November 05, 2005, 08:45:40 PM If he is aggressive as you say, he could be raising with anything, I go all in and hope 0:-)
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: Wardonkey on November 05, 2005, 08:47:18 PM Move in, get called. Lose, join cash game.
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: redsimon on November 05, 2005, 08:47:27 PM What was your intention when he limped? If you expected him to raise, then presumably you would have a strategy to deal with it? Calling leaves you 10K?. Unless he's capable of passing Ace high on a flop bet of 10000 with 10400 in pot I would push allin. But then I like to lose on the river to A2 offsuit...
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: M3boy on November 05, 2005, 08:48:03 PM well 10k starting and around 60 started. so av is 20k
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: redsimon on November 05, 2005, 08:48:39 PM Move in, get called. Lose, join cash game. The way they play PLO and PLO8 in Sheffield that might be the best advice! I just wondered how many people would pass here Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: bundle on November 05, 2005, 08:51:01 PM I take it by that comment that you lost then?. I would have dumped em all in and expected to see AQ AK and pray he don't hit
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: Dewi_cool on November 05, 2005, 08:52:15 PM Thats what I thought, you limped in hopin he would raise, you do need to double up so I dont see what else you can do - do tell
Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: The_Ant on November 05, 2005, 08:56:10 PM You got the BB to do what you wanted....... get it all in!

Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: M3boy on November 05, 2005, 09:17:51 PM i know dewi.
Like i said, i just wondered how many would of passed preflop Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: thetank on November 05, 2005, 09:37:16 PM I'm certainly not among the passing crew, or the stop and go-ers.
I'm re-raising all-in 99% of the time. Title: Re: Hand advice please Post by: The Dundonian on November 05, 2005, 10:12:27 PM You can't get out of it, you got him where you wanted and you were unlucky, I would have gone all in, if thats any kind of consolation. :dontask:
