Title: Shoot out tournament advice needed
Post by: Tractor on November 05, 2005, 09:24:03 PM
Im organising a 36 player / 6 seater shootout torny.
But as ive never played in one need some help/advice.
1.Starting Chips?
2.Blind Structure?

With 36 players ,ie 6 tables of 6 do i play down to 2 players on each table ..Then go to 2 tables freezing each table with 3 runners then going to a final table?

Basically any advice would help, other wise im going to have to go to Luton and play one ;)

Cheers

Ps- It will be £50 buy in so i would like it to have some good play.

With a decent blind structure I think doing 3 different rounds would be a bit much for a live tournament, it would take too long.
If it must be 6 handed I'd just have the winner progress to the final table.

At Luton you just win your table and then you're in the final - just have to wait for them all to finish before it can start. zzzzzzzzzzzz

Price structure is for example: six table so six finalists - five get a little bit and winner gets loads so it's a shootout right to the end really.
