It is annoying how much the term "mate" is used now as a way of trying to bridge boundaries.

I'm guilty as **** for ii but Car Forums are littered with the word. Does my head in!

I call everyone "Mate" always have ... never think about it tbh, it's never meant as condescending or anything ... though Jane bollocks me if i ever call her "Mate" :D

Thats harsh, i call Ling "wench" "bitch" and many others, although "wench" is defo the most used. And i don't get moaned at.

I just got married. Flew back to England with the wife. Stayed a few days then came back. I left her there I suppose she will turn up again at some point.

She cant hear me so i guess it doesnt matter what i call her
