Its a fold preflop for me, a pocket pair like 10's play much worse in cash then they do in the late stages of tournaments. Really you are playing for set value or continuation bet value.

With 10's you are never going to really know where you are on the flop unless you hit your set. I wouldn't get too hung up on the fact that you were ahead upto the river as the pot got way out of contol well before then. At this level there are tons of better spots to get your money in than this.

BTW if I was in this spot on the turn I would have bet $7 or $8 and expected to take the pot down there and then, but the risk is huge of doing a lot of money on this hand.

Also, imho, AK matey is never folding unless you do ship in a huge bet.  AK is the nuts at this level until the river card has been drawn.

ship the lot in as soon as he checks the turn.

I tend to play TT as a medium pair, and set-mine.  Keep it as small as possible pre-flop and then try to stack the opponent.

You haven't included stack sizes in your OP - I think they're crucial here.

Yeah stack size are important as calling pre really does depend how do you are imo.

As played checking the turn is fine imo trying to exercise some pot control.

I was sitting with around $35 and he was at $17 or there abouts.
