Title: Golfers Post by: timberman on May 25, 2008, 09:58:52 PM I have recently started work as a greenskeeper on a golf course so have free use of the place:D, so thought i better buy my self some clubs, the ones in the club shop are all highend expensive ones so i dont fancy any of them in case i dont take to it and they end up being used to prop open a door , i saw these online and was wondering if they are any good for a beginner? if not any 1 got any advice, any help much appreciated, thanks

Title: Re: Golfers Post by: LeKnave on May 25, 2008, 10:18:38 PM yeah look fine for a beginner, always better to buy a package like this when starting.

They look fine for beginners though. Title: Re: Golfers Post by: stallyon on May 25, 2008, 11:14:49 PM my first set was just under £100 and this looks a decent set. i'd advise to get them custom fit as well as this will definately help you. if the clubs are too short or too long then you'll not address properly. having them custom fit is quite reasonable. i get mine done here - http://www.direct-golf.co.uk/static/professional_advice/why_custom.asp (http://www.direct-golf.co.uk/static/professional_advice/why_custom.asp)

The best advice is to get lessons from the start before any bad habits creep in. Get your pro to teach you, half price of course. Good luck with your new and very addictive hobby.
