I am taking my nephew to Drayton Manor in July and looking for bargains as ever. If anyone happens to see any 2 for price of 1 offers for Drayton Manor, maybe on cereal packets or anything can you post here. I have seen loads for Chessington and Thorpe Park but not for Drayton Manor so far.

Only useful if you have clubcard vouchers though.

is it worth a visit in people's opinion?

Only been once before, but in view a yes. Like most theme parsk the entry is over priced as is drink and food etc, but worth a trip.

I went a couple of weeks ago. Got 5 and 6 year olds. It's massively improved from when I last went about 10 years ago. New Thomas Land is excellent for 3-7 year olds. There are a couple of really fantastic coasters too - GForce (upside down with no shoulder harness) and a stand up one, which is excellent. They also have the ride voted the scariest in the UK - a stand-up tower drop that is just amazing. Lasts about 3 seconds but jeeeeeezus. Superb for adrenalin junkies. Some of the smaller rides are good too - boozy barrels is fun, a Wild West car ride thing where you each get a little laser gun thing and compete on targets shot is entertaining. The log flume looked excellent too, but didn't manage to get on it. Queues were relatively long - I'd suggest getting there early and doing the big ones immediately.

We got in on a family ticket - £70 for 4 peeps. Expensive, but I think it was probably worth it.

Worth it for 8-12 YO? Probably, if they're ok on coasters. Should be tall enough for the big ones - 1.3m is the tallest limit (I think. Possibly 1.4 for GForce).

I went about 6-7 years ago and enjoyed it. By all accounts it has only improved since. It's generally hard to not enjoy a theme park.

Well the good news is that the Kellogg's voucher worked so cheers.
The bad news is that having taken a day off work to go on weekday when  the park should be quiet and little queues, i was welcomed with a sign which said along the lines of " Welcome to Drayton manor Schools week, please be assured we will do our best to keep the queues down" Arrrrggggh  ;frustrated; ;frustrated; it was bus load after bus load of pesky kids and we had to queue for 30-60 minutes a ride until 5 o'clock when they all went back to their buses. Plus it absolutely poured down.
On the plus side after the last hour of no queues on the rides my nephew loved it and managed to do Apocalypse 4 times in a row. I explained that it would be better if I sat out the last few times to try to take some photos of him.  :D

Don't you tv stars normally pay 10% to agents ?

If i had an agent they would have received £20 this year.  :D (Or if based on live poker results they would owe me.)

Indy only went so he could see himself on the TV screen when they show the photos they took as you go through the log flume.

Hmmm schools week eh. Probably makes the local news up there. Just no stopping Indy getting on the telly!!!

if you spend £30 or more @ esso on petrol you get 2 for 1 tickets to all uk top theme parks and attractions!

I did one of these with Esso for a cinema ticket on a 2 for 1 basis. When i received the voucher it turned out that you could only see certain films, usually ones that had been out for a few weeks. I had a choice at the weekend of Indiana Jones or The Incredible Hulk.  Still ok to use, but they weren't quite upfront on the offer that this was the case.
