You'll have seen tikay talking on threads about Sky (http://www.skypoker.com/poker/sky_lobby?aff=1062) Poker (http://www.skypoker.com/poker/sky_lobby?aff=1062)'s new cash game show that he co-hosts.

blonde Poker has the opportunity to put a team of three players into this show. It is to be recorded on Tuesday 10th June in Feltham (just off M3 junction1).

I'd like to put this team in if you'd like to play, so I need 3 players.

You play with your own money (teams so far have used £200 total)

The captain decides how much of the kitty each member plays for, and each play on seperate 6 Max cash tables in the studio. The programme is transmitted a week later

If you win, the team keeps the profits, and vice versa

So far two teams have played, both have lost. No one individual has booked a profit.

There is a team and an individual league. At the end of the show's run, the winners of each (best ROI on their appearance) win prizes.

There is an appearance fee paid to participants



So, how to do this. Time is short as I need to give names to Sky on Tuesday 3rd June.

Please post on here if you'd like to play in the team

Please post before Monday midday.

At that point I will post a question/tiebreaker. The three names giving the closest answer will be selected.

I "co-hosted" (Analysed) the first two Shows, but the rest of the Shows are on rota, so you got lucky, as I'm not booked to do this one.

The first two Teams both put up £300, I think, & spread the money equally amongst themselves.

Both the first two Teams lost money? Certainly not. Well, maybe. Possibly. We won't know that until Show Two airs next Tuesday.......

5-7 ish apparently is when the filming takes place. Will have to be in the building before that.

You will need to be free in the afternoon, probably from 3 - and be prepared for some loose play.

It should be fun - Filming aims to kick off, as Rooks has stated, sometime around 5 - However best laid plans etc  - it's not yet been achieved

But to be honest I can't wait to see your team logo with a name like that.

Would honestly depend on if they supply travel expenses TBH.

But id be much more likely to be interested maybe a month down the line. Are there plans for more than one blonde cash team to be entered....?

Oh well I`m sure the team will do just fine with loose play.

You can play howsoever you wish Pete, (if selected), the idea of the League is to achieve the best Team & Individual ROI. Usually, the Team Captain (nominated by the Team) decides on strategy.

There are two 50 minute cash-game sessions, with a 10 minute break in the middle, & it's recorded non-stop, (in theory....) as a 2 hour Show with some waffle & a few breaks. It's upbeat, light-hearted, but serious - Teams play with their own money, so it's entirely up to them how they achieve the best ROI. Sky Poker would wish to choose upbeat, smiley, chatty players, as there is a lot of Guest interaction, & it's important that the Guests come across well.

We had 3 Poker Magazine Editors/Journos this week - Jon Young, Dave Bland, & Rick Dacey, & they were huge fun.

Pete, it was not meant like that. I'm not putting the Teams together, I have absolutely nothing to do with that, I simply asked Tighty to sort sort out a blonde Team. "Selected" was a poor choice of word in my Post, I meant if you "qualified" via Tighty's qualification procedure, rather than "if selected". The Post, in which I gave the preferred criteria, was aimed at everyone, too, not just you.

How big are the prizes for this? what is there to stop any team stuffing tuesday evenings tv tables with mates to help them win.

its recorded a week in advance. I assume the players have no notice of which table they are to play on, beyong knowing the buy in they have chosen

there are no prizes as such, just the profit/loss from your stake

I was the plank who suggest the highest 6 figure amount. I thought it'd be ridiculously low or ridiculously high. PKR has over 1m accounts and hasnt been set up fora year so thought sod it Ill guess stupidly high

If you've got a backer with loads of money you can afford to do these kind of things.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're running at a huge loss at the moment due to all the advertising.

Actually they were able to ramp up advertising to mainstream adverts and TV precisely because they were doing so well. More active real money players than Ladbrokes, PKR have.
