Title: £100 freeze at DTD
Post by: RED-DOG on June 01, 2008, 01:48:49 PM
This is the last one  :'( (Funny how you take things for granted until they're gone)

I will be there to mourn the passing of this great competition, to pay my last respects, and to win it of course.

Anyone else up for it?

Tom twisted my arm at 7 o'clock this morning for this.  Why oh why are they dumping this comp? I cant for the life of me understand why they wouldn't keep the 100 freezeout and make the 100 rebuy say once a month!!

Make the rebuy special and it will get the numbers and some kind of aniticipation rather than a dick and deep pocket waving contest every Sunday..................IMO.

No - Cranky = go to bed at 4am and wake up at 7am.  Get in at 8.30am and wake up at 1pm = POSITIVELY DISAGREEABLE  :-*

Sounds like a really good idea. Anyone think it's worth a few players getting their heads together to make a stand for this.

I'll really miss this quality comp

I didn't get up to play it much, but I agree. Certainly won't travel for the unlimited rebuy against that lot of "can't pass won't pass" types!

Well in truth, I didn't manage to play it much either, but that was just because I have been particularly busy this last few weeks.

We will monitor all the figures for the new schedule , i am confident the main weekly events will be well attended.

Regarding the £100 Unlimited rebuy we will have to see if their is demand for it on a weekly basis as the intention is to attract players from a wider radius who may not neccesarily play every week.

We have a pool of players in excess of 1000 who have played our £25 which is why this week we had a record 204, and we hope that the pool for the £100 will increase so that it will settle around 80 - 100 every week .

Obviously if it is not successful the next option will be to hold it last weekend of each month with the rest of the month including the 3 2 1 being a freezeout.

Cheers

ACES

It's BACK!

Whahoo!

It was announced on the DTD PA System last night that (if I recall correctly)

The £100 Sunday Night Freezeout will be restored almost immediately - within the next 2 weeks I think. It will run every Sunday night except once per month.

The £100 Rebuy wiill continue, albeit only 1 Sunday per month. (It might be the 3-2-1 Weekend).

The Tuesday night £50 + £50 + £50 Limited Rebuy will also be restored.

Happy Days, Dusks, & Dawns.

I completely agree with this

Still, not coming up the M1(which I won't for the 100 rebuy) is going to be saving me some petrol!
