Title: frustrating situation Post by: AgentChip109 on June 01, 2008, 11:13:57 PM $15k full tilt comp, its a $22 rebuy. 294 runners, after being chip leader for a while i have got a bit frustrated and gone down to 25/66. the following hand occurs.
blinds 300/600 average 18k utg (15k) limp 600 cutoff (46k and chip leader) raises 2400 me, sb (23k) Ad Qc calls 2400 (my thoughts - chip leader has recently moved to table so not sure of their style, dont wanna reraise oop when got some chips, so elect to just call) utg calls 2400 (notes on utg - he is a fish and has limped in early position many times without a strong holding) pot 7800 flop Ac Jc 6c me, sb check utg shove for 12.2k cutoff, thinks, takes 20 seconds of time bank and shoves for 44k) me ??????? Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: Horneris on June 01, 2008, 11:15:42 PM Not easy but I CALL!

Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: FuglyBaz on June 02, 2008, 10:43:31 AM Definate call if UTG is a fish.
I'm really confused by the time bank shove by the CO though. Good little bit of sidepot insurance though :) Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: A_Leper on June 02, 2008, 12:11:08 PM I probably would have just shoved preflop. I call flop.
Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: AgentChip109 on June 02, 2008, 02:30:41 PM I probably would have just shoved preflop. I call flop. isnt 23k a bit much to shove?? Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: A_Leper on June 02, 2008, 04:50:50 PM Maybe, but I would say you're ahead of both their ranges, so you should probably raise, and any raise will probably commit you if they go all in, so you may as well just go all in.
I have a habit of getting my chips in really bad really often though. Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: UpTheMariners on June 03, 2008, 01:54:14 AM RR pre flop
Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: Royal Flush on June 03, 2008, 03:34:42 AM I have a habit of getting my chips in really bad really often though. Maybe because you ship 40BB in pre with AQ.... Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: A_Leper on June 03, 2008, 09:37:54 AM I have a habit of getting my chips in really bad really often though. Maybe because you ship 40BB in pre with AQ.... Just a weird coincidence... Do you think with these stack sizes it's best to call the preflop raise? Then are you reasonably happy to get stacks in on most A high flops? Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: EvilPie on June 03, 2008, 01:23:27 PM 20k to win 43k (I think).
Not really got the odds but chances are the big stack knows this so he's not on the big draw. If he's got the king he wants you in as well so he's not going all in. Got to call. Title: Re: frustrating situation Post by: AgentChip109 on June 06, 2008, 11:56:01 AM result was i called
utg shows Aspades 7c cutoff shows Kc Qd and the club hits the river for about a 65k pot. pretty sick as 2nd has about 40k, and would have put me in awesome shape wiv 55 left or whatever it was. i really did believe i had the cutoff crushed, expecting to see utg have the Kc |
