Title: 10 10 late position how to run it. Post by: Newmanseye on June 07, 2008, 03:33:32 AM I'm in the $10 freezeout, I am chip leader with around 4000 ish chips and my oppo's have no more than 1400 in chips.
My "feeling" is that one opponent BadTrips has AK - AJ or a medium pair, i am thinking 55 - 88 on the pairs, And I am thinking (probably wrongly) mrwalshermay have a couple of paint cards.... Is folding a Good move here? or do i just Jam and see what fate brings? Post by: ifm on June 07, 2008, 07:04:18 AM Well you've got a raise, reraise, rereraise and rerereraise so i'd deduce you are behind here lol.
This is my biggest weakness though because i've seen this happen with very mediocre hands and i always think this is the same. Couple that with my reckless style, unfaltering optimism and the fact i'd still have plenty of chips and i'd call. So you call and you're up against KK and JJ (badtrips has kk), lose and kick yourself for being such a cynic. Title: Re: 10 10 late position how to run it. Post by: EvilPie on June 07, 2008, 02:42:32 PM Worst case - You lose and you're down to 2600 and still have 65 big blinds and plenty of play left.
Best case - You win and you're huge and can dominate everyone and win the whole thing. Their range is still pretty wide even following this action in a $10 freezeout so go for it and get em in. Then close your eyes and don't look back at your screen until the hand's been played out. Title: Re: 10 10 late position how to run it. I suppose i am trying to ascertain if its the right one for long term +EV Title: Re: 10 10 late position how to run it. Probably not. Best to ask one of the calculator boys ;D Seriously though, in cash I would guess not but in a tournament where we need all the chips then I think you've got to make the move, particularly with your big chip lead. So you're getting just shy of 3:1 on your money. you lose you have 2600 left - still in the hunt you win you have 6660 ( oh bad Omen there ;D ) I think it's a shove IF I've read the op correctly Title: Re: 10 10 late position how to run it. He has only put 120 in the pot, why would he put the rest of his chips in with 88 after a 3 bet and a 4-bet? FWIW you are 23% vs a AK, JJ+ range for both players. Title: Re: 10 10 late position how to run it. Post by: Newmanseye on June 23, 2008, 08:00:52 PM I see at this level that almost any PP calls, regardless of action, I knew i was probably getting the right odds to call.
FWIW I was up against AK and J 5 |
