Some very shrewd judges including Mats Wilander and Bjorn Borg himself say that Federer is playing on this surface much better tactically this year and give him a far better chance than the odds would suggest. Where do Tennis experts rank Nadal on clay in the all-time list? He'll be top when when's done, if he isn't already there now. He's making the best player ever look less than average on it.
