Hand 1 i probs raise to like 3,875 - 4,225 rather than a massive jam, but i play Hands 2 and 3 exactly the same. I like your line in hand 3. The raise to 3,200 is sweet and the call taking account stack sizes is standard. WP in the win - you can probs stake your bro for a couple of low buy in MTTs. 60/40 you tho obv. Title: Re: Journey to winning a MTT... Post by: scotty2hatty on June 09, 2008, 11:35:17 PM Yeah your brother will hate the first hand - he was slating someone yesterday for the exact same thing.
Title: Re: Journey to winning a MTT... Post by: Graham C on June 10, 2008, 12:53:43 PM I prob wouldn't have raised with the T7s but once you have, I think you have to call the shove.
The AK hand, nowt much wrong Congrats on the win ;applause; Title: Re: Journey to winning a MTT... Post by: Sunday8pm on June 10, 2008, 01:22:07 PM I think this is pretty good son. Shows you are starting to understand pot odds and positional agression.
Hand 1 is a tough call and yes i flamed some cock yesterday for doing it but i think the circumstances are slightly different here. Most important thing being the buy in size $3. This has a pretty huge impact on how you play AK. In a $200 tournament you will rarely be called by a worse hand for a shove of 30bb with AK. In a $3 KO tournament you will regularly be called by a worse hand. Also take into account the chip stack sizes of other players and i think it makes shoving AK here the right move. Title: Re: Journey to winning a MTT... Post by: boldie on June 10, 2008, 02:51:58 PM I just want to say well done on raising with the 10 7. You have a stack and use it...top man.
