Just a quick question before I go into battle on this one. Not telling you which side I'm on!

If you have a voucher which states 'valid until June' would you think that you can use it in June or that you can use it up to June?

if it said 'until 4th June' it obviously wouldn't mean 'up to and including the 3rd but not the 4th', same applies with just naming the month

does it say which year Trace?

it's a voucher we issued here for a treatment and it states 'valid until June'. It was issued in December and we give the recipient 6 months to redeem it - although we have never stated it is six months, we have just put on it when it is valid until.

I intended the wording to mean 'up to X but not including x' which is what I thought 'valid until x' meant but obv it is a bit ambiguous....

Any suggestions on how to reword it simply would be appreciated remembering that it has to fit onto a voucher.

re-word it to say

valid until 30th Hune or 1st June whichever you desire.

I would just put a date on it, so if you issued one today, it's valid until 10/12/08.

Have a space for the date of issue to be written in and say 'Valid for 6 months from date of issue.'

"this coupon is redeamable for six months only, thats six months from date of issue, dont try to use it after that or in june or anything like that cos your already getting the treatment at discount you freeloading tossers and one time someone tried it on with us so we gave them the treatment but reveresed the pressure of the hose and pumped all the shit we'd extracting from people that day up their arse, you've been warned"

Good idea Tighty - make up imaginary months, that'll confuse them.

Unbelievable - told client she could have appt up to end of June. She made appt. Then rang back and said could she move it to July.....I give up....I'm going into the garden to eat worms...
