Title: Re: ascot Post by: boldie on June 17, 2008, 11:17:25 AM 2.30 I'm sticking with Cesare at 8-1.last time out the race was completely against him and he loves this track...I'll give him another shot I think. Finsceal Beo is a nice price at 7'1 but has become a bit dissapointing.
3.05 Fleeting spirit should win this...nice to see Takeover target in this as well though and he'll love the ground and is in form again so might be big at 6's Title: Re: ascot Post by: Horneris on June 17, 2008, 12:41:32 PM 2.30 Tariq or Finsceal Beo for me.
3.05 Fleeting Spirit with Benbaun following home. 3.45 Match Bet with with WillHill on Ravens Pass to beat Falco @ 5/4 this morn. 4.20 Lord Shanakill 5.30 Silver Shoon Not very exciting prices will just have small bets and watch the spectacle. Title: Re: ascot Post by: Horneris on June 17, 2008, 02:01:05 PM Lord Shanakill is Good Each Way at 14s imo.

I had a few bets and not one winner, I'd a few that where very unlucky though. Cesare, Ravens Pass (win) and Effort (4th backed it at 33's e/w can't believe in a 25 runner listed race you only get 3 places) Title: Re: ascot Post by: Horneris on June 17, 2008, 07:46:53 PM LoL i didnt write that, LeKnave did, i only lost a tiny bit today.
But if you extend it to the last 2 weeks its pretty true. Title: Re: ascot Post by: scotty2hatty on June 18, 2008, 11:34:00 AM Here's the horses I'll be looking to back today courtesy of a friend of a friend:

Yeats is trying to win it for the 3rd time. 17 horses have tried to do this before and only 1 has succeeded. Stats dont mean everything but he is up against it here i think. But i know nothing ! Title: Re: ascot Post by: bigalhx1 on June 19, 2008, 02:01:23 PM lucky 15

Title: Re: ascot Post by: bolt pp on June 20, 2008, 11:00:08 AM i like the jolly in the first today and will be on the 11/8
Title: Re: ascot Post by: boldie on June 20, 2008, 11:37:32 AM in the first; Art Princess is a nice sort..if the ground doesn't go soft she could be a nice alternative to the favourite (whom does look a good thing)
3.05 I have to go with the racing post and agree that Bronze Cannon could very well pick this one up..and at 4-1 I'd rather be on him than the fav. 3.45 Spacious looks a good thing to me. Don't know what the French filly is worth in this line-up though I haven't heard anything special about her. 4.20 Emirates Skyline should do a lot better this year..I reckon he could well win a nice group 3..but he'd have to win this...at 6-1 I'll take the chance. The 4.55 only has one question...Just how good is Patkai? If he is as good as Micheal Stoute thinks he is, he'll piss this...but 17-10 is not a good enough price to back him for me. Amerigo looks big at 11-1. Dhaular Dhar is too big in the 5.30 28-1 is a ridiculous price. Title: Re: ascot Post by: Graham C on June 20, 2008, 12:38:25 PM I take it the fav in the first is a very good thing - it's odds on and the nearest is 9/1!
Title: Re: ascot Post by: boldie on June 20, 2008, 01:38:23 PM I take it the fav in the first is a very good thing - it's odds on and the nearest is 9/1! It's a very good horse and could well be MUCH better than this crowd could ever be...but would you take odds-on on a horse in a race full of improving youngsters with potential? Title: Re: ascot Post by: bolt pp on June 20, 2008, 01:42:08 PM I take it the fav in the first is a very good thing - it's odds on and the nearest is 9/1! It's a very good horse and could well be MUCH better than this crowd could ever be...but would you take odds-on on a horse in a race full of improving youngsters with potential? traditionally 2yo races are horrible to back skinny price jollys in but the 11/8 that was about was massive value, i think it was 6/4 on betfair yesterday. saying that i wouldnt be surprised if any number of the other horses were to improve for a stone in the race. Title: Re: ascot Post by: boldie on June 20, 2008, 01:43:17 PM I take it the fav in the first is a very good thing - it's odds on and the nearest is 9/1! 4.45Redcar - Aussie Blue @10/1 I think Please Sing will run well in the first at 10s, but each way may be the safer option with the fav @ 5/6. If the owners got 20 or 16-1 and the horse is working well that's great...I wouldn't touch it at 9-2 though..having said that, it's a stonkingly poor race...ad a good race to stick a horse like this in as it is not out of it if on a going day. Seems to like good goings though, surely g/f isn't the end of the world, tis only 'orses after all and I'm only on the place :D Title: Re: ascot Post by: scotty2hatty on June 20, 2008, 02:55:59 PM Bronze Cannon please

Title: Re: ascot Post by: boldie on June 20, 2008, 03:10:20 PM Almost last, murder! Frankie rode that beautifully but what the hell happened to Bronze Cannon..that was a very dissapointing race. And Ryan Moore again just doesn't ride Ascot well Title: Re: ascot Post by: bigalhx1 on June 20, 2008, 03:50:36 PM had lush lashes there

Title: Re: ascot Post by: Horneris on June 20, 2008, 04:32:50 PM Racing is such a swong.
After my amazing day yesterday ive just been absolutely crushed today. In the 4.20 i had 1st @12/1, 3rd @16/1 and 4th @10/1 in £2 combination exacta's. And 3rd was 3rd by about a hair. They wouldve paid big too. :'( :'( :'( Title: Re: ascot Post by: boldie on June 20, 2008, 04:47:03 PM still a legeng boldie m8 lol thanks..but i should only post these things once every now and again..the tipster comp proves that I just can't do several horses or even a horse a day...which is whyI don't bet every day. Title: Re: ascot Post by: bigalhx1 on June 21, 2008, 09:12:07 AM this is hard today and not knowing wot the weather is going to do is making it impossible but will give it a go Lil

Title: Re: ascot Post by: Karabiner on June 21, 2008, 12:24:30 PM ive done my cobblers on ascot this week. Me too, I've got what's left of them on US Ranger to get me out of it in the 3.45 today. Title: Re: ascot Post by: boldie on June 21, 2008, 12:47:27 PM Wife is on Tombi today..I fancy King's apostle for this but not had a bet in it...Ascot is tricky today so I've just had a bet at Ayr, Record Breaker in the 3.50 is my only bet for the day...though I might sneak a little placepot on at Ascot.

Title: Re: ascot Post by: scotty2hatty on June 21, 2008, 02:29:26 PM Tough day today. I have backed Seaway. Unlucky action man. Title: Re: ascot Post by: The_nun on June 21, 2008, 02:29:57 PM Swindler for me.
Title: Re: ascot Post by: GlasgowBandit on June 21, 2008, 02:31:03 PM Although I haven't had a bet at Ascot i think Free Agent here will win this first race quite easily. My only concern is that its drawn 12/12 and and that could be a hinderance. Free Agents first race form looks good it won by 5l and the 2nd that day went to to finnich 7th in the Windsor Castle stakes on Tuesday. If Free Agent wins I am steaming in on my NAP for the day which is Senatorial running at Ayr in the 4:20.

Title: Re: ascot Post by: doubleup on June 21, 2008, 02:38:18 PM Somethings gone wrong with my telly - everything is squidged up in the middle so racing looks like dachunds being ridden by dwarfs.
Title: Re: ascot Post by: action man on June 21, 2008, 02:40:30 PM sigh, not may excuses fr seaway there, just beaten by a better, more classy horse on the upgrade, the winner will be frightning over 9f+
