Terrible news. I thought he might miss everything apart from the majors.

He pretty much only plays majors anyway!

Hopefully he'll get it sorted well in time for next year. Not a bad for him to have a bit of time off and cut out the hassle of the Ryder cup too.

LOL @ Retief Goosen slagging Tiger off in the press saying he milked his "injury" for sympathy and it "wasnt as bad as he implied" LOL

WOW - I choked on my dinner when I heard this news as I have a rather hefty bet on the Man for the Open!!!!!!

Thankfully a phonecall to a very Fair betting system has surprised me greatly in that if he does not play the 1st round of the Open the bet will be deemed void and money refunded......

A lucky escape as I am pretty sure my local bookie would be be happy to say unlucky mate - no refund -

Perhaps Jamie (Bookiebasher) can clarify the position from a bookmakers point of view but I am extremely relieved to get a refund here.

I believe most if not all firms would return your money.

Bet would be deemed void.

I'm suprised you got your money back, as far as i'm aware if you put a bet on a horse a few months in advance and it pulled out you don't get your money back (or am i wrong here) suprised its not the same with other sports betting. After typing this was thinking if you put a bet on a footballer to score and he doesn't play you get your money back so just ignore me lol

I am surprised. When Tiger pulls out. Other  Players such as Mickelson, and Ernie Els are probably cut from 25-1 to 12-1. If you have your bet on pre Tiger pull out you are getting a large advantage Vs the Bookie.

But hey I should defo just  shut up and be happy.....
