Terrible news. I thought he might miss everything apart from the majors. Title: Re: Tiger out for the season. Post by: mondatoo on June 18, 2008, 07:46:39 PM This just makes his win even more sicker he's a legend :respect:

I thought he might miss everything apart from the majors. He pretty much only plays majors anyway! Hopefully he'll get it sorted well in time for next year. Not a bad for him to have a bit of time off and cut out the hassle of the Ryder cup too. Title: Re: Tiger out for the season. Post by: Colchester Kev on June 18, 2008, 08:13:17 PM LOL @ Retief Goosen slagging Tiger off in the press saying he milked his "injury" for sympathy and it "wasnt as bad as he implied" LOL
Title: Re: Tiger out for the season. Post by: chrisbruce on June 18, 2008, 08:21:15 PM WOW - I choked on my dinner when I heard this news as I have a rather hefty bet on the Man for the Open!!!!!!
Thankfully a phonecall to a very Fair betting system has surprised me greatly in that if he does not play the 1st round of the Open the bet will be deemed void and money refunded...... A lucky escape as I am pretty sure my local bookie would be be happy to say unlucky mate - no refund - Perhaps Jamie (Bookiebasher) can clarify the position from a bookmakers point of view but I am extremely relieved to get a refund here. Title: Re: Tiger out for the season. Post by: Horneris on June 18, 2008, 08:24:58 PM I believe most if not all firms would return your money.
Bet would be deemed void. Title: Re: Tiger out for the season. Post by: mondatoo on June 18, 2008, 08:28:23 PM I'm suprised you got your money back, as far as i'm aware if you put a bet on a horse a few months in advance and it pulled out you don't get your money back (or am i wrong here) suprised its not the same with other sports betting. After typing this was thinking if you put a bet on a footballer to score and he doesn't play you get your money back so just ignore me lol
Title: Re: Tiger out for the season. Post by: Horneris on June 18, 2008, 08:29:18 PM Yeah true, racing is different.
Title: Re: Tiger out for the season. Post by: chrisbruce on June 18, 2008, 09:44:36 PM I am surprised. When Tiger pulls out. Other Players such as Mickelson, and Ernie Els are probably cut from 25-1 to 12-1. If you have your bet on pre Tiger pull out you are getting a large advantage Vs the Bookie.
But hey I should defo just shut up and be happy..... Title: Re: Tiger out for the season. Post by: ItsMrAlex2u on June 18, 2008, 09:50:07 PM out of ryder cup too
