Title: Bad timing or what?
Post by: Indestructable on June 20, 2008, 06:02:04 PM
No need for analysis but here is my wsop event 32 exit hand.
Chip leader makes standard raise, guy to his left flat calls. I look down at
 Qs Qd
I push
Chip leader insta goes all in and guy to his left instacalls
Chip leader shows
 Kc Kd
guy to his left shows
 Ad Ahrt
An american at the table shouts " Oh my god it's a freeking internet hand!"  :D
I leave the table and the chip leader is now the short stack.

The guy who though it was "A Freeking Internet hand" would have had kittens if he had.

And an internet hand would have rivered a Queen.  :D

Saw this happen in a MTT I played online at the weekend and the guy with queens did river a queen, thankfully I had 9, 4.

Surely if it was true internet the flop would come AKQ. Turn J. River T?

What were the stack sizes?

Roughly Chip leader had 10k, matey had 9k and I had 7k. Blinds were 150/300, raise was to 1200 and flat called. Pot before I acted would have been around 3250 ish including antes.
My only hope in hindsight was for me to have made a pot sized bet and for one of them to go all in and I could have then folded and left with 3750. Of course if they both called I would have been no better off as flop was

 Jd 7h 4c

Just read it all wrong, thought they would instafold. If matey boy had re raised I would have been out of there. Live and learn, although not saying I wouldn't do it again.  ;)

you have just about 20 BBs and would stick 10 of them in and then fold for your last ten?

that's just wrong.

If your 20 BBs don't go in here it'd be criminal IMO (Though I might have reraised pre..)
