Title: Turbo Final table Strategy
Post by: seven2unsuited on June 23, 2008, 11:24:10 PM
I have been playing alot $12 180 player sng's on stars recently and doing ok going pretty deep and getting to a good few final tables, but always coming up abit short and not managing to win.  Generally at this point average stack is about 10 big blinds.  Any one got tips to put you in a good chance to win.  My down fall seems to be not picking the right spots, perhaps also pushing/calling allin to much in bb when i think i am ahead.  Most of the time i have been ahead but not massive fav to win the hand.

Thoughts on this?

Cheers

The aim of these 180 mans,in fact all tournies with mtt payout structures, is to play for the win. With less than 10bbs we should be shoving or folding. Bearing these 2 factors in mind, you should open shoving extremely wide especially from late position, where there will be alot of atc shove situations.

Maybe play a few single table turbos to get some more experience in when to shove and ranges of hands to shove with(if i'm shoving at this stage i'm not really bothered about what cards i've got tbh)
