Title: Avast found a virus?
Post by: wader leg on June 27, 2008, 06:25:37 PM
Just switched on my lappy and it comes up with

A virus was found

File Name        C:\Poker\Victor Chandler\_SetupCasino(2).exe

Malware name   Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}

Malware type    Virus/worm

VPS version      080626-1, 26/06/2008

The thing is I have never played on VC since Tribeca days, the only reason it is on my lappy is because I got a new one a couple of months ago and downloaded all the poker sites I have accounts with.
Anyone any idea what this is and whether it has targeted poker software on my computer and where it has come from or is there a simple explanation?
I usually run a scan every week or so and  nothing has ever flagged up.

Cheers

Some virus checkers and anti spyware don't like the IPoker setup program,I had to stop using one anti spyware program because everytime it ran it deleted blonde and blue square.

Thanks, I don't need to worry about someone stealing my action points then, lol.
I can't understand why it has happened today and not previously though.
