Title: Betting on the wsop? Post by: GreekStein on July 13, 2008, 09:34:12 PM Anyone know a site where I can bet on the wsop at the moment?
My pick before the tournament was David Benefield and now I'm kicking myself I didn't do it. Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: LeKnave on July 13, 2008, 09:38:29 PM he just busted. gg.
Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: GreekStein on July 13, 2008, 09:42:04 PM wow now thats ultimate bokking.
Five lots of sixteen hour sessions with a well above average stack and he busts within 5 minutes of me posting. Shame this isnt a skill- I could make a good hourly. Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: DaveShoelace on July 13, 2008, 09:55:15 PM Im gonna lobby a few bookies to run in-play betting on the ME next year, the amount of big names in the field this year has proven what an active market this could be. Betfair could have put one up without any hassle methinks.
I actually think Brandon Cantu is the dark horse to win this one now. The final table betting is going to be huge methinks. (ive got a blog about betting on poker me) Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: ChipRich on July 13, 2008, 09:57:17 PM Mikey, Cantu or Tiffany Michelle ftmfw.
Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: Longy on July 13, 2008, 10:11:44 PM I would imagine that you will see plenty of action available for the final table, with the delay till november. Though that opens the question whether, we will see betting scandals with the amount of time in between.
Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: GlasgowBandit on July 13, 2008, 10:14:04 PM I'd love Mike and Phil to make the final. That could be good tv!

Certainly a possibility, I think we are going to see some sort of scandal as a result of the final table delay, whether its someone going crazy with the pressure, rigged betting, not getting a visa to return to the states, a kidnapping or whatever. Hellmuth vs Matusow at the final would be one for the ages Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: steeveg on July 13, 2008, 11:13:50 PM yeah once the ME started all betting susspended everywhere, like to see a few last longer markets in running , i had a few bets on players to reach final table,Cunningham was my last chance, but can never really fancy these sorts of bets, just a bit of interest.
i will be surprised if there isn't some sort of scare or scandal in the few months leading up to the wsop final table, the press will be waiting for anything so i imagine most will be false alarms, Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? (ive got a blog about betting on poker me) Think you'll do well to get anyone to price up the ME beforehand, especially as 'any other' would be about fours on imo. Betfair are almost certain to price up the final table within the next week or so I'd have thought but don't think the liquidity will be great myself. Can't see the fixed odds boys ever coming in until poker gets covered in the Racing Post, something I'm chipping away at at the moment but not getting far with in truth. Blue Square price up the GUKPTs but haven't seen anything on the Vegas stuff. Just as well, as I'd have done my money on Mark Vos. Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? (ive got a blog about betting on poker me) Cantu got sick lucky for almost his whole stack early on yesterday against Benefield even though pokernews listed the hand completely wrong. If he keeps being that lucky no reason why he cant win. Tiffany Michelle to win now! Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: Chompy on July 14, 2008, 02:18:55 PM Fair play for pricing it up but not sure a 148% over-round book on a bunch of unknowns will attract a lot of business. That said, given the prices look overly compressed, there's probably some mileage in backing the four big stacks each-way, first four.
Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: gatso on July 14, 2008, 03:20:52 PM rumour in London is that mr Gordon is a Canadian living in Brighton but that may not be true as no-one seems to have actually met him
Title: Re: Betting on the wsop? Post by: ericstoner on July 14, 2008, 06:01:24 PM Word has it,from an ex dealer,Mr Gordon used to play the saturday aftrnoon £2rb student fest at the grovesnor Brighton.
