Seat 3: Ironside (9565 in chips) Seat 4: dirtysamchez (1305 in chips) Seat 9: SPQR007 (2630 in chips) Ironside: posts small blind 100 dirtysamchez: posts big blind 200 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Ironside [Jc 8c] SPQR007: folds Ironside: raises 400 to 600 dirtysamchez: raises 705 to 1305 and is all-in Ironside: calls 705 Ironside said, "i know i am behind" the guy must know i am pot commited to this hand getting nearly 3-1 for the call so what sort of hand must he have on the other hand he is very short and needs a double thru so doesnt need much of a hand if i call and find mysefl against a monster i will still have over half the chips in play but if i fold and keep the guy in i have been able to pick up lots of small uncontested pots and can blind the 2 stacks out without giving them a chance to get back into the game HU debate Title: Re: was this a good/bad call Post by: Bongo on May 12, 2005, 04:49:32 PM If you fold this time will they continue to let you steal pots?
If you call and lose will they be more or less likely to call your raises when you try to steal? (Some would avoid tangling with you unless they have a monster as they know you will call, others will tangle with you more as they think you're playing with rubbish) If you think that folding will adversely affect your abilty to steal pots, or that calling would aid it then i'd definately call.
