Title: Go Jules, Good Luck GB
Post by: 77dave on July 16, 2008, 05:43:10 AM
Julian is in the final 4 of the $5000 Main Event at the Venetian.

Julian returned for day 3 today with 450,000 chips and an ave of 200,000 with 18 players remaining. At the start of the day he had $7500 locked up.

He then made the final with 1.6m in chips out of the 3.6m chips in play.

Latest update i heard he was the shortstack with just 4 players left. Winner gets $250,000 no idea of the rest of the payouts.

GL Jules

He was supposed to fly home on Tuesday but he delayed his flight to play the final. I hope he flies home tomorrow with the trophy in his carry on luggage.

More updates if/when i get them.

A deal has been discussed and turned down 4 handed they have decided to play it out

seat 1 800k

seat 2 2.4m

Julian 1.2m

seat 4 800k   so a lot more chips in play than was mentioned before but Julian 2/4 with blinds at 8k/16/3k

Julian just lost a monster pot with KQ on a KQ6 flop.  Allin on the flop against the aces. 6 on turn kills him.

Julian has just won next 4 hands to be back in contention

shortstake is down to 300k

Julian back to 2/4

chip counts dodgy at best just been told 4.3m in play

$180k, call it £90k, that'll be an extension to the extension to the extension. He's not had the Baden Extension built yet, or the Brighton one.

had dinner with him last week in vegas and he had been running so bad constantly flopping sets to see flush draws getting there etc. He wouldn't moan about it though as he rightly said he can never complain about running bad with the results he's had in the last 12 months.

Next thing you know another result comes along- yet again a triumph for the nice guy....well done fella and will probably see you at luton.

oh well done to you as well kev, great to see the good guys cleaning up.

ty all....a nice surprise to find there was some sweating on here.
had been a very flat trip & only dived in in level 2 as a last minute shot when it lokked like being a 3 dayer rather than the 4 that was advertised,
made some big moves on day 1 & 2 which finally got thru/spiked & then ran like god on day 3.
