Title: London restaurants.
Post by: brummieboy on July 17, 2008, 07:25:43 PM
Help, going to London for a weekend with the missus, not been to London that often except to watch footie.

Would therefore appreciate advise on nice restaurants for the friday going to Mossimans on the Saturday.

Going to be around Leicester Square/ Oxford Circus in the day on friday not too bothered on type of cuisine but would like to treat the wife to a nice meal.

Also ideas for bars/clubs that caters for the over 30's on the night, took her to a show in April and don't want to do that again.

Haven't been for a while but Dover street is great for drinking/dancing/live music for the over 30s !!. Food is nothing special, so i would eat elsewhere and go on there later.

If you've never taken her up the Oxo Tower, it's highly recommended:

Wow I used to enjoy the OXO Tower in the past but was informed it was shut about 8 years ago. However whilst in London I might try to gain entry, ill let you know how I get on.

I didn't realise the Oxo Tower actually existed, all the reviews listed above are obvious euphemism's for anal sex.
However was i n Mossiman's and the chap next to my wife when asked about restaurants, recomended the Oxo Tower and the wife just cracked up and thought i'd spoken to him and it was a wind up. Broke the ice though. lol.

Looks like Flushy knows his stuff!

Gaucho is incredible....great steaks.

If she likes Chinese take her to Hakkasan, different from the normal chinese but one of the best atm.

Or if she likes Indian...take her to the mint leaf in haymarket.

All three close to where you will be

My personal favourite is Palais Du Jardin in LongAcre round the corner from Covent Garden
