Title: I feel i played this badly and could have got more value... Post by: Newmanseye on July 25, 2008, 06:28:06 PM I feel sick that I didnt get more from Canteenkid on this hand, he has around the same stack as me in this hand $55.
I think he is either on a weak 10 or a Flush draw, possibly even an over pair but he has made no real Donkey moves so far.. So along comes this hand, the short stack who pushes has been fairly tight too so I wonder just how much more I could have got if I played this hand differently Opinions and different plays appreciated Dealer: newmanseye1 posts Big Blind $0.50 Dealer: Dealing cards Dealer: Your cards 6c 6d Dealer: dilmi calls $0.50 Dealer: 02071974 folds Dealer: ilia200 raises to $2.25 Dealer: Xo4uAudiTT folds Dealer: canteenkid calls $2 Dealer: newmanseye1 calls $1.75 Dealer: dilmi calls $1.75 Dealer: Dealing Flop Ts 6h Th Dealer: canteenkid bets $4.50 Dealer: newmanseye1 calls $4.50 Dealer: dilmi raises to $13.60 Dealer: ilia200 folds Dealer: canteenkid calls $9.10 Dealer: newmanseye1 raises to $31.70 Dealer: canteenkid folds Dealer: Dealing Turn Ts 6h Th 3s Dealer: Dealing River Ts 6h Th 3s 9h Dealer: newmanseye1 shows Full house 6c 6d Dealer: dilmi shows Three of a kind Tc Kc Dealer: newmanseye1 wins with Full house 6d 6h 6c Th Ts $65.45 Dealer: newmanseye1 wins with Full house 6d 6h 6c Th Ts $65.45 Title: Re: I feel i played this badly and could have got more value... You're killing the board..why push everything in on that flop? Why not give him a chance to catch his flush or push his overpair? I'm not sure, I think my bottle crashed a little, I remember my initial thought being " bet the other guy out incase he pairs the weak kicker" I went straight to the 10 rag as a hand for him with his insta call of the all in. so how do we play it without telegraphing we have them drawing thin Title: Re: I feel i played this badly and could have got more value... Have the guy chase his flush and then try to bet you off. it's always difficult when you flop a massive hand, the problem is ussually that you can't build a pot...when others are doing that for you you can just sit back, relax and smile :) if someone sucks out on you that's just the way it goes...but you want people chasing here. Title: Re: I feel i played this badly and could have got more value... Post by: Longy on July 25, 2008, 09:20:01 PM I think flatting the all in and cold call on the flop is the best move imo. His range is made up of 10x, flush draws and pocket pairs mostly.
You lose just about all the none 10x hands here and if he is a nit/good hand reader some of the 10x hands (unlikely imo). So give him a free card villian has at best 3 outs here most of the time. Most 10x's are getting it in here and being worried about him hitting a 3 outer, is unecessary just a case of when the money is going on. Just concentrate on the other parts of his range you can get value from. Title: Re: I feel i played this badly and could have got more value... I dont know why I do it but i seem to be holding my the maxim, " win a small pot and dont lose a big pot" hence when I know I am ahead my instinct at present is to scoop whats there to prevent a bad beat scared poker indeed Title: Re: I feel i played this badly and could have got more value...
