Title: www.apat.com
Post by: mickmoose on July 26, 2008, 12:43:23 PM
Can anyone get into this website. It seems this domain name is up for renewal or has past its renewal date.

They're aware of it as there's some talk about it on the APAT update thread.

Seems it's working for some, but others (me included) have problems.

Record expires on 22-May-2009.

Have I missed a year of my life?  :o

There is a dns nameserver problem and getting support over the weekend is like finding gold in them thar hills....

The site is still working for me and there are people on the forum.  Very odd, but we are trying to resolve.  Apologies to anyone looking to get on the site in the interim.

Some people's ISPs won't have updated their DNS records and others will have.  So some, like me, can't see the site (I'm on Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)) whereas others will be able to.

It's like if you launch a brand new site on a new domain.  Once it's 'made live' some people will be able to see it immediately.  Others won't be able to see it for up to 48 hours.

Getting a beer from Des, well that can take longer than 48 hours...

I guess it isn't helped by the mad rush to patch DNS servers going on at the minute!

So many questions, yet so little beer.....

Meanwhile I've missed a trip to DTD today because of this mulch and somebody in orangespace is going to feel the aftershock once I figure out who flipped the switch.

I can't sign on that is plain
And it really is a pain
The reason has from the air been plucked
The damn DNS is &^%$ed

Des is on the job, working hard
He's missed the academy, that jarred
And all because as his shirt he tucked
The damn DNS is &^%$ed

He gets loads of advice, most of it clean
The engineers don't seem so keen
Any weekend work they have always ducked
The damn DNS is &^%$ed

It will be fixed, although it's fecked
It will work, be fine, be perfect
Des will buy beers, tradition bucked
The damn DNS is &^%$ed

So lets be patient, calm and serene
Leave Des alone, please don't be mean
Because although this time he's mucked
It's the damn DNS that's &^%$ed
