Title: What would you do
Post by: 77dave on July 26, 2008, 10:43:37 PM
Sitting in a $5/$10 game last night.

I started with $1600 and spun it up to over $6k.

We have 2 donkeys on the table and the rest of the table are in trap mode.

So $5/$10 with a $20 straddle.

Donkey idiot(2k) raises to $80 and donkey(5k) drunk calls

I find  Ad Ac and i make it $320 to play. Donkey idiot folds and donkey drunk calls.

As the dealer deals the flop im watching donkey idiot for a reaction not the flop. The flop hits and he says allin and throws his wad of $100 bills in the middle.

I look back to the flop to discover a  Ahrt 6h 3s flop.

What would you do?

Also the Red Rock has a $10k table jackpot if you lose with Aces Full.  $3500 to the loser $2500 to the winner and the rest  chopped amongest all the table.

Nah, can't have JJ, 77 is more likely. Pissed bloke, it would have to have some kind of runner-runner heart/straight possibility.

I think you've milked it enough.

Only you could get people begging to hear a bad beat story.

 4h 5h i reckon...maybe not such a bad beat after all???

else just 4 5

its not all bad though if he has 5k and you started the session with $1600 then you still have 1k left..... I am sure you will have worse days at the office than a $600 loss.

Its all about what you do after losing the pot that matters.

I never said at any point it was a bad beat. With hindsight i think it was a really good play by him.  He had  Kh Jh, so he flopped the nut flush draw. The only way that i can call is if i have flopped a set of aces. Any other hand that i can possible have i have to lay down at this point and if i do have top set he is still 25/75 to win.

Th on the turn and no pair up on the river and im shipping most of my stack over. As Chris says is not a bad night as i finished $700 down on the night. I had a good profit in front of me and the reason the whole table was sitting there was to catch this guy.

2 hands later he got up and left and as soon as he left the whole table broke.

Horrid, why doesn't he just try to hit the hand then get paid, thats the way i would play it when deep

The guy openly admitted his regular game was $4/$8 limit and was smashed out of his face.  Bit of luck and he will be back for more.
