Title: Virgin/BA Refund is this legit??
Post by: Suited_Jock on July 29, 2008, 07:03:14 PM
Got this link https://www.airpassengerrefund.co.uk/ sent in an email to me and was wondering if it was legit or not??

I remember seeing it in the news but then this site looks a bit iffy and it was flagged as spam within gmail..

Just wondering cuz I'd have 4x return flights to claim..

I got the same a couple of days ago and wondered the same think.

I haven't launched the files, although they're PDFs so, as far as I'm aware, harmless.

It's linked to from the Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com) website:

near the bottom

(had to mess about with the URL because of the Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com) tags being placed and buggering up the URL.)

Following the fines on BA & Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com) for price-fixing, (specifically, colluding as to Fuel Surcharges) Congress stated they must offer anyone who was overcharged a refund, & what is more, they must actively seek out those who may have been "forced" to overpay. I believe the EC have engaged Epiq, too, again against BA & Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com).

Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com) & BA were specifically debarred from managing this process, & the Contract was awarded to Epiq, who do this sort of thing for a living. If you write to BA or Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com), they will refer you to Epiq, & they (BA & Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)) have been advertising this info for some time now in their "In-Flight Magazines".

I believe Virgi (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com)n (http://travis.bosscasinos.com/re.asp?name=POK&camp=REF5111_0&go=http%3a%2f%2fwww.virginpoker.com) & BA, between them, have deposited, or set aside, over £300 milliion to settle these potential claims.

The matter came to light when Virgin grassed up BA, before confessing that they too had been equally naughty.
