Title: The Finest of Fine Margins
Post by: Horneris on August 04, 2008, 04:07:17 PM
For those of you that don't know, LeKnave, ChipRich & I moved into our new flat in Headingley, Leeds on Friday (picture thread possibly to come later in the week)
([  ] ChipRich's room will be included in this).

We'd been to DT (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)D (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) for the £300er for the weekend so we havent set the internet up yet. This lead to us being very bored last night. I just wanted to gamble somehow and they wouldnt play a sit n go bcoz no one can ever be arsed to deal, so we just sat there drinking.

I managed to find a couple of dice in my room and asked LeKnave if hed take bets on what number will land throwing both of the dice. He worked out all the possible outcomes from 2 dice and gave Rich & I the exact odds, meaning he had no edge. WP sir, you are both a gentleman and a scholar.

Bearing in mind im already into LeKnave for £698, being £236 down after an hour wasnt exactly the sort of result i was looking for. You could even say, this was a bad result for me.

I started off betting £1, then £2, then it got to £4 a spin, and i was in a trance jus throwing, throwing ,throwing the dice until i finally decided enough was enough. I knew i was gona lose like a Grand. That i didnt have. To make matters even worse, Rich was £20 up. I grabbed both the dice, ran into my room and was about to launch them out of my large French windows, when at the same time, Rich ran into the room screaming "Nooooooooooooooo" and threw me to the ground. But it was too late, the two die had left my hands. I saw the first dice fly out of the window and it was gone. I was elated. We are 3 floors up in the flat, i wouldnt find that again. But then the 2nd die, flying towards the window, caught the edge of the frame and came rolling back towards me. And before i could grab it, Rich was gona with the 1 remaining dice. I was devastated. I knew i was getting back involved.

I strolled into LeKnave's room and Rich was there, throwing the dice and railing its outcome ridic hard. And they asked me if i wanted to play. [  ] I said No. LeKnave offered me Evens on guessing whether the dice would come odd or even. The max bet he would take tho was only £20. So it was going to be a grind. To cut a long story short, an hour later, i ended up £20 in profit. I went through such emotions, at one stage i was almost in tears, at one point i was kissing the floor. Im afraid to say that Rich ended up £60 up. To say LeKnave was devastated would be an understatement. Hed gone from £216 up to £80 down in just over an hour.

The dice was so close to going out of the window, it only jus scraped the edge of the door/window and came back. If it'd gone out id still be -£236.

I really wana play tonight. 1time plz Dice.

Are you lot gonna get a home game setup in the new pad? I can't beat the grannies at Moortown and prefer pure luck games like dice :)
