Post by: Longy on August 05, 2008, 04:48:08 AM Yeah fold shove or pre, you are too shallow post flop to gain any advantage by calling with a hand like aj. You have managed to illustrate perfectly in this hand.
As played i think we have to call with a straight draw and overs (though one or both them are often going to be useless), we are likely to have around 40% equity agains villains range. Which is enough to call. Title: Re: Do You Call Here? Post by: AlexMartin on August 05, 2008, 04:49:01 AM 100k in pot, he shoves for 140k. stick in reasonable ranges into pokerstove and hurrah, snap call.
but preflop is rough and probably a fold. Title: Re: Do You Call Here? Post by: seven2unsuited on August 05, 2008, 10:24:35 AM Ye Pre flop was messy and i need to look at the way i play around this stage of tournies in the future. But i did call seemed a nice opportunity to get a stack to challenge FTW

I'm on tilt for not having any reads despite playing for 5 hours and accumulating a decent sized stack. Just played every hand in a vacuum. Thats right. All in son hahahahah, quality. I am actually gonna memorise that lot and sing it while tilt shoving in a live comp. OP, you need a hand here and ChipRich's range looks spot on. Title: Re: Do You Call Here? Post by: GlasgowBandit on August 05, 2008, 11:56:41 PM I'm with the majority its a shove pre or pass. AJ is not hand to be getting tricky with.
As played u must call now and hope you still have outs. As shown it did :) |
