Title: Awkward spot Post by: NoflopsHomer on August 14, 2008, 09:45:03 PM Villain is fairly active, I'm seen as usual tight-aggro player, haven't show a hand yet though. I did 3-bet from SB last hand vs HJ raiser last hand to win the pot.

Title: Re: Awkward spot Post by: LeKnave on August 14, 2008, 09:52:01 PM pretty standardly played. if im tilting i might just get it in, but usually il be folding.
3bet pre is fine. Title: Re: Awkward spot Post by: boldie on August 14, 2008, 09:53:19 PM Played it fine, nothing wrong with folding here. I don't stick half my chips in with 99 at this stage of the tourney.

Also, I might be tempted to think he's raising here based on the previous hand but often this isn't necessarily true... Title: Re: Awkward spot Post by: AlexMartin on August 15, 2008, 03:50:32 AM Completely disagree w you lot, stacks are deep, u have a good hand+position. by 3betting you might get 4b off the pot and be unable to continue. Just call.

Just call. Was reading thread thinking i was alone! Moomin would call so i call! So what would the plan be on the flop? Are we calling if he shoves no matter what comes out? Are we folding if he shoves and there's overcards? Are we Shoving if he checks? This hand interests me as I had similar in the DTD £300. I had 99 on the button but chose to limp expecting the BB to raise because he often did. As it happened the SB raised instead. I then reraised but he put in a very big 5 bet and I had to fold. I was then sick. I couldn't find a call because I would've been set mining without the correct odds. I thought about the shove because his bet didn't look overly confident. Unfortunately I thought about it for so long it would probably made him confident to call with tens or jacks. Oppo has raised to 1600. If we call that we're pretty much committed. Hence shove or fold I would've thought.
